Just two of the twelve pieces from my Rhapsody series — abstract works inspired by a painting I saw at the Ferens Gallery in Hull back in the 1990s, while studying at university. It was the first time I truly encountered abstract art, and that experience stayed with me for decades.
This series, created in 2017, channels that lasting impression through layers of colour, rhythm, and form — a visual echo of music and memory intertwined.
